ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS THAT CAN BE USED WITH CARBOCOLLAR CC FIREPROOF COLLARS:

• synthetic, flexible elastomeric foam (FEF) according to EN 14304, fire reaction class BL-s3, d0, according to EN 13501-1 and density 45 ÷ 70 kg / m3,
 
• Insulating Tubolit PE foam , with reaction to fire class E according to EN 13501-1, and with a nominal density of 30 kg / m3,
 
• PE acoustic mat (Weberfloor 4955 db mat), reaction to fire class Bfl-s1 according to EN 13501-1, and with a nominal mass per unit area of 12 kg / 30 m2. The PE acoustic mat is recommended in floors, especially when it is required to reduce the acoustic effects of sewage pipes -  additional sound absorption of the mat up to 19 dB with one wrapping.

Technical description:

CarboCollar CC fireproof collar is a metal cylindrical flexible clamping ring mounted on a pipe. It consists of an outer cover made of a single or multi-segment stainless steel sheet and one or more inserts made of intumescent material, which in case of fire increases its volume and closes the opening. The steel cover is equipped with a clamp, used to fasten the fireproof collar and stabilize it on the pipe, and with mounting brackets with holes through which expansion anchor bolts are led, fixing fireproof collar to the partition. The fireproof collar is delivered as a ready-made product or in the form of an assembly set for self-preparation and assembly during work on the site. Fireproof collars can be 30, 60, 180 mm high. The height of the fireproof collars depends on the diameter of the pipe or its intended use. In the scope of the internal diameters of the fireproof collar up to the diameter of 160 mm, there is full interchangeability of the fireproof collars. The 60 mm high fireprooof collar can be replaced with a 30mm high fireproof collar regardless of the type of seal and pipe or cable installation material.

Intended use:

CarboCollar CC fireproof collar is a product intended for fireproof sealing of service penetrations and mixed penetrations in walls and floors of plastic pipes without or with FEF or PE foam insulation, metal pipes insulated with FEF or PE foam, electric cables. The possible fire resistance class ranges from EI 30 to EI 180. With the use of CarboCollar CC fireproof collars, it is possible to seal single pipes or pipe bundles, pipes in groups of e.g. 4 pieces, cable bundles, pipe bends that are mounted just below the floor. The necessary information can be found in the ETA. Good fireproof properties make CarboCollar CC fireproof collars applicable for sealing pipes with particularly large diameters and where large thicknesses of flammable insulation on steel pipes are required. The product is intended for professional use.

Installation information:

CarboCollar CC fireproof collar is delivered ready for installation or as an assembly set. The internal diameter of the fireproof collar should be fitted to the external diameter of the protected installation element (pipe, insulation, cable). In case of walls, it is required to install two fireproof collars on both sides of the partition, in case of floors, we install one fireproof collar on the lower side of the floor. For proper installation and use, adjusting the cover or the intumescent insert to the pipe diameter, always follow the instructions in the CC-IM1 / CC-IM2 manual which are attached to the product. CarboCollar CC fireproof collar should be attached to the wall or floor with the use of symmetrically placed expansion anchor bolts (M6x60 mm or M8x80 mm).
