Examples of technical application of the product:
Technical description:
Piro Putty is a fire-resistant, non-setting putty made of ablative silicone-based polymer with fire-resistant additives, intended for restoring the fire resistance of installation drains in walls and ceilings. In fire conditions, fire-resistant components are combined, causing the mass to thicken, protecting against the penetration of smoke and fire within the time specified in the ETA document.
Intended use:
The non-setting Piro Putty is intended for sealing installation penetrations of specific types of non-flammable pipes, cables and cable bundles. It is used as a filler for installation passages in flexible ceilings and walls (made of plasterboards) and rigid walls (made of concrete, brick, hollow bricks, blocks). It has adhesion to various substrates, including ceramic, plaster, mineral wool and metal. The non-setting Piro Putty has very good fire-retardant properties. Partitions sealed with putty are classified in class EI according to ETA-23/0231.
Application:
FLOOR
Floors made of concrete or reinforced concrete, with a thickness of not less than 150 mm and a density of not less than 1700 kg / m3
width from 150 mm
REINFORCED CONCRETE
RIGID WALL
Walls made of concrete, reinforced concrete, cellular concrete, solid brick, hollow or checkered brick, with a thickness of not less than 100 or 125 mm and a density of not less than 600 kg / m3
width from 100 mm or 125 mm
AIR CONCRETE, CONCRETE, BRICK, OTHER PRODUCTS
FLEXIBLE WALL
Walls not less than 125 mm thick, with a skeleton structure made of steel or wooden sections
width from 125 mm
PLASTERBOARD
Application information:
Application methods: putty should be applied manually by pressing into the gap around cables or pipes. Clean the substrate and degrease it if necessary. The ambient temperature during application should be at least + 5⁰C. Ready-to-use product, does not require dilution. Hands should be washed thoroughly after use. Putty consumption may be difficult to determine because it is an auxiliary material and depends mainly on the diameter of the cables/pipes and the hole through which they are led.
MANUAL APPLICATION:
• knead the putty by hand until it is completely plastic
• use your fingers to press the putty into the hole around and between the cables, making sure the hole is completely closed with putty to a minimum depth of 20 mm
