Nullifire SC803 is a water-based intumescent coating, intended for fire protection of steel structures made of open and closed profiles. The purpose of this coating is to maintain the fire resistance and load-bearing capacity of steel structures until the fire is extinguished or the building is evacuated. Nullifire SC803 is a one-component intumescent coating, compatible with most primers and surfaces. It enables effective fire protection of steel structure elements in the following environments: Z2, Z1, Y in the protected external space. It allows to obtain fire resistance up to 90 minutes.
-
The use of Nullifire SC803 is recommended only on dry and protected building structures.
-
If the intumescent intumescent coating is exposed to moisture, bubbles or folds often form on the surface.
-
Nullifire SC803 is only allowed to be applied when the air and steel temperatures are above 5 ° C. For an effective application, the relative air humidity should be below 80% and the surface temperature of the steel should be at least 3 ° C above the dew point.
-
It must be ensured that the steel, both during application and during drying, is dry and that water vapor does not condense on its surface.
-
The coating system may only be used by trained professional users.
The product is intended for professional use.
-
Nullifire SC803 should be applied on a primed clean, dry and undamaged steel surface.
-
Some primers in the event of fire cause adhesion problems with the carbon layer. In particular, thermoplastic primers should be avoided.
-
It is recommended to use one-component (1K) or two-component (2K) primers based on epoxy resin - detailed information can be obtained from the ETA or requested from the technical service. Tremco illbruck will confirm compliance with Nullifire SC803 upon request.
-
Nullifire SC803 should not be used directly on galvanized surfaces or over primers containing zinc dust.
