Firefilm FC2 is a modern hybrid coating. The coating has excellent application properties: it cures very quickly, even at temperatures below 0 ° C, the coating is dry after 24 hours. Possibility to protect internal and internal semi-open structures - Type Y (without the need for a topcoat) and external structures - Type X.  The product is intended for professional use.

Application:

Use Carboguard E19 or Carbomastic 18 FC as a primer. Clean the surface of steel profile Sa 2 ½ in a dry environment, clean and dry abrasive, ISO 8501. The ground steel must be coated within 2 weeks. Surfaces should be free from contamination, loose material and other contaminants that could adversely affect adhesion. Compatible with at least older 2K epoxy primer coats (min. 3 months) or with surface preparation or adhesion test. The system is not suitable for use on one-component primers. In case of use on galvanized surfaces or other substrates, please contact the technical service department of Carboline Polska.

Properties:

  • Fast drying, early weather resistance, water resistance within 1 hour after application.

  • Gains external durability thanks to an approved topcoat

  • Drying below 0 ° C and fully dry the day after application.

  • Self-priming system that can be applied to slightly rusty surfaces within 2 weeks after blasting.

  • Possibility to create a thick coating with all fire-retardant properties with only one layer.

  • Flammability class up to 120 min. Tested according to BS476 and EN13381: Part 8.

  • Prohesion cyclic corrosion test according to ASTM G85: 2009 Annex 5. After 1000 hours The maximum extent of subcoating corrosion is 6.00 mm from the reference mark (notches). the above-mentioned test was carried out on an unprimed steel substrate.
