Charflame is an intumescent fireproof coating intended for fire-resistant protection of steel structures made of open and closed profiles. The purpose of this coating is to maintain the fire resistance and load-bearing capacity of steel structures until the fire is extinguished or the building is evacuated. Charflame coating is supplied ready to use. As a water-based coating, it has a short drying time. Airless spray is the recommended method of application, although a brush or roller may also be used for small areas or repairs.

Charflame is a water-based intumescent fireproof coating, intended for fire protection of steel structures made of open and closed profiles. The purpose of this coating is to maintain the fire resistance and load-bearing capacity of steel structures until the fire is extinguished or the building is evacuated. Charflame is a one-component fireproof coating, compatible with most primers and surfaces. It enables effective fire protection of steel structure elements in the following environments: Z2, Z1, Y in the protected external space. It allows to obtain fire resistance up to 90 minutes.

Charflame fireproof coating is supplied ready to use. Mix mechanically thoroughly before applying the coating. Airless spray is the recommended method of application, although a brush or roller may also be used for small areas or repairs. Clean with only water and do not use solvents. Under Y type environmental conditions, Charflame fireproof coating can be covered with the topcoat specified in the ETA. The coating must be complete and the Charflame Reactive Coating must be completely dry and cured prior to application of the topcoat. Protect Charflame fireproof coating from strong gusts of wind and high temperatures during application to avoid quick and incorrect drying. Under these conditions, small coatings are recommended. The drying time depends on the atmospheric temperature, the temperature of the steel and the air movement that occurs. The coating dries quickly because it is water-borne. An additional coat is recommended the next day. The surface temperature must always be at least 3 ° C above the dew point temperature. Avoid application where there is any risk of condensation on the steel surface. Adequate ventilation is recommended.
